Welcome to my blog. This is a place for me to share some thoughts about my writing and about how I create performances - live and video – as well as some general updates on my projects, current and in progress.

It’s one of my favorite topics ever – the creative process – so I’m always down to nerd out about inspiration, routines and the challenges of staying motivated.
I started this website several years ago, at a time when I believed I needed a website to appear as a legitimate and professional theater maker. Since then, I’ve learned that I don’t think of myself as a theater maker – I create performances; I direct plays, I write stories and sketches, and I’m working on several film scripts for various future, dream projects. I also perform, produce, manage, market, and do a whole lot of other things that I used to think simply came with the territory of being an “indie” theater maker. The reality of it is, a lot of the skills I’ve picked up have been for sheer survival and as such are unrefined and, in many cases, poorly tested. That is to say – after a little over 12 years of making performances and self-producing my work, I am still learning and know that I have much, much, MUCH more to learn.
I’m 35 years old as of writing this blog post. The next part of my creative journey is building an authentic and exciting personal brand. In my gut I think I know what my brand is – a creative performing artist who wants to tell stories that help and heal others – but how to express that and relate to others is a something I’m in the process of figuring out.
